While infrared cameras require active moisture to register temperature differences, dogs can detect odor associated with active mold growth regardless of whether the moisture is currently wet or dry. Rival K9 trains detection dogs for law enforcement, military, and private work. Training includes hundreds of hours of imprint training on live mold species, ongoing maintenance training, and regular proficiency testing to ensure scent discrimination accuracy.

No. Mold detection (what our K9s do) finds WHERE active mold is hiding in your building. Mold testing (swabs, air samples, EMMA panels) identifies WHAT species or mycotoxin levels are present. Using both together gives you the ultimate diagnostic clarity.
